John Halamka, CEO of HITSP (Health Information Technology Standards Panel), announced during HIMSS that HITSP was forming five "Tiger Teams" to bring high-level technical focus on ARRA (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act). It is expected these teams will use the existing HITSP standards documents to produce a "simpler publication that addresses the interoperability requirements needed for meaningful use of EHR systems," according to Keith Boone, co-chair of the Data Architecture Tiger Team.
